Escape to Mt. Lushan, China's Famous Mountain Resort
Lushan (Mt. Lu), Jiangxi Province, is one of China's ancient, sacred mountains, shrouded in mist and cooled by soft breezes during the hot and humid summer months. For centuries, Lushan has been a place of refuge and learning for mystics and monks, artists and scholars,  poets and missionaries. It is now designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.   The Lushan Language and Culture Institute, located in the mountain village of Kuling,  provides an ideal place to study Mandarin and Chinese culture and to explore the historic mountain's history.  Follow in the steps of Pearl S. Buck who first found inspiration here for her Nobel prize winning writing amidst the mountain's majesty. Escape the blistering heat and the big city crowds and study Chinese in a National Park setting. Two or four week programs offered. The Lushan Institute is operated by Nanjing University as a joint program of the Lushan Scenic Bureau and the Kuling American School Association. This year's summer program begins July 1st  and ends July 26th, 2013, both a 2 week and 4 week option are available.  Registration is available now by clicking here.
